Katrin Beierl finished second in the monobob at the Bobsleigh World Cup in Lillehammer, only beaten by Australian Breeana Walker, achieving her best World Cup result. The Lower Austrian, who was in fifth place after the first run on Saturday, improved her position by three places in the final run on her favorite track thanks to the second-fastest time. Beierl had never previously reached the podium in monobob.
