BC Conservatives' Doerkson announces plan to 'supercharge' B.C. economy
The plan would scrap the PST on investment machinery and software for three years and create a red tape minister, the party said.
Lorne Doerkson, leader of the Conservative Party of B.C., announced a plan to “supercharge” British Columbia’s economy during a campaign stop in Surrey.
The proposed package would remove the provincial sales tax on certain business investments, including machinery, equipment, and software, for three years.
The plan includes an expert panel to simplify taxes within 180 days, a minister focused on reducing red tape, and a Premier’s Technology Council.
The plan aims to return red tape to 2017 levels by the end of the first term.
