The Farmer-Citizen Movement (BBB) has decided to leave the Christian Democratic Group of the European People's Party (EPP) in the European Parliament. Both of the party's MEPs will immediately join the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), a center-right group. The ECR group includes the party of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
In the European Parliament, the BBB is switching from the center-right EPP to the more right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) party group. This group also includes the nationalist and conservative Fratelli d'Italia party of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The EPP is the largest party in the European Parliament, which also includes European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
