NEVIS – Nevis couldn’t maintain early leads in dropping a pair of baseball games to Section 5A opponents on Saturday, April 25. Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale overcame an early 2-0 deficit and a 5-3 deficit by scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 6-5 win in the first game.
