On the evening of Monday, 5 October, the Strasbourg Administrative Court suspended the execution of the prefectural decree to prohibit the gatherings "on the outskirts" of fifteen high schools in Bas-Rhin. By referring to "inaccuracy" as to the scope of the measure, the court granted the request of several associations, brought by the Syndicat des Avocats-e-s de France (SAF).
In response to the high school mobilizations that took place last week in Strasbourg, the prefect of Bas-Rhin had taken two orders to prohibit rallies in the vicinity of high schools. These decisions were suspended last night by the administrative court.
Shortly thereafter, the Prefecture of la Drôme issued a new decree specifying the perimeter of the ban at 100 meters around the establishments concerned, for the day of Tuesday when a new mobilization is announced, with two demonstrations declared in the department.
