- Several banking services including cash deposits, withdrawals, and cheque clearances were disrupted at most public sector banks, though digital platforms like UPI and internet banking remained operational for customers.
- Representing 90 per cent of officer and employee strength, the UFBU organized the nationwide strike to resolve pending wage issues, while private sector banks remained unaffected by the walkout.
