Tourism receipts in Greece recorded a strong increase in the first seven months of 2026, according to data from the Bank of Greece (BoG). Specifically, in the period January-July 2026, travel receipts amounted to 13.518 billion euros, compared to 12.07 billion euros in the corresponding period in 2025, recording an increase of 12%.
The "more tourists but less money" pattern, which reflected the mismatch between arrivals and receipts, was completely overturned in July.
