Bailie Elected to BCEF Board

Sam Bailie. (Provided Photo) (Batesville, IN) – Sam Bailie has been elected to the Batesville Community Education Foundation’s (BCEF) board of directors. The foundation says Bailie, a Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC) parent, brings a strong background in finance and deep community involvement to BCEF. Angela works as an instructional aide at Batesville Intermediate School (BIS). Outside of his work at Baxter, much of Bailie’s family time is devoted to his daughters, who are active in basketball, Girls on the Run, track, volleyball, and soccer. The family attends the Community Church of Batesville and strives to be actively involved in church-related activities. Bailie’s interest in serving on the BCEF board comes from his strong belief in community-supported education and his appreciation for the foundation’s work to create lasting opportunities for Batesville students. “One of the many reasons Angela and I chose to raise our family in Batesville is the strength and reputation of the Batesville public schools,” Bailie explained. “I have been especially impressed by the way BCEF supports initiatives like Bulldog Ready, classroom grants, and capital projects that create enduring value for students, and am excited for the opportunity to contribute my time and skills and to work collaboratively with the other board members to support BCEF’s mission.” The Batesville Community Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides additional funding for innovative learning opportunities that go beyond the basics in academics, athletics, and the arts in the Batesville public schools, enhancing the educational environment for all students. To date, BCEF has awarded more than $1 million to the Batesville Community School Corporation and its students through grants, programs, and scholarships. Its most recent large-scale projects include the Batesville Primary School Outdoor Learning Complex, the Batesville High School Student Success Center, and last year, the Batesville Middle School Outdoor EcoLab. The 2026 BCEF project at BIS will be announced soon.
