Freddy Slater, a member of Audi's driver development program, has been confirmed to move up to FIA Formula 2 in 2027. He will compete with Invicta Racing and continue his career with the goal of stepping up to Formula 1. The 18-year-old British driver competed in FIA Formula 3 in 2026 with Trident. Despite being a rookie, he competed for the title until the final race and finished the season in second place behind Hugo Hugochukwu.
