On Thursday, Nick Kurtz extended his walk streak to 19 consecutive games and hit a two-run double, leading the Athletics to a 6-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Kurtz tied Ted Williams for the third-longest walk streak in history, trailing only Roy Cullenbine in 1947 and Barry Bonds in 2002-03.
Shea Langeliers recorded three doubles, while Darell Hernaiz added three hits and two RBIs, and Jacob Wilson scored twice to secure the Athletics' sixth win in nine games.
