WASHINGTON, Aug. 10, 2026 – AT&T has joined the other two national wireless carriers in asking judges for a refund on a Federal Communications Commission fine from 2024.The agency fined the carriers a total of more than $200 million for not vetting third parties thoroughly enough before selling them customer location data. The companies have said they stopped selling that data by 2019.
