Astros manager Joe Espada faces the challenge of replacing Correa as the team holds a 15-22 record, with 15 players already on the injured list including Jeremy Pena.
The team currently sits four games behind the first-place Athletics in the American League West and will proceed without its star shortstop for the remainder of the year.
