Assembly approves tax credits for new nuclear energy facilities

The bill offers $1.21 per megawatt-hour tax credits for new nuclear plants starting 2030 to meet rising energy demand, passing 86-11 in the Wisconsin Assembly.

The bill would provide tax credits for up to a decade, beginning at $10,000 for each megawatt produced.
