On Saturday, Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the U.S. Open final, winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 and formally dethroning the four-time Grand Slam champion.

Sabalenka returned to Arthur Ashe Stadium to deliver a teary-eyed runner-up speech, thanking the crowd: "Thank you for your support throughout the two weeks."
