- Factory-Built facilities can power up within 48 hours of arrival at bases. Jeff Waksman, principal deputy assistant secretary of the Army for installations, energy and environment, emphasized the reactors' rapid deployment capability.
- While the Army will license the reactors, officials intend for the technology to transition to the commercial market later. The Army is coordinating with the Energy Department to remove radioactive waste with no long-term storage on-site.
