Pakistan Test-Fires Indigenously Developed Fateh-II Missile System: ISPR
ISPR said the indigenously developed missile was equipped with advanced avionics and navigation aids as Pakistan sought to validate performance and technical parameters.
- On Tuesday, the Army Rocket Force Command conducted a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II Missile System, equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigation aids.
- Inter-Services Public Relations stated the launch aimed at validating technical parameters and evaluating sub-systems for "improved accuracy and enhanced survivability." Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Pakistan Army observed alongside scientists and engineers from Strategic Organizations.
- President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded the team's "technical prowess, dedication and commitment" in strengthening national defence capabilities.
- This test follows last week's successful firing of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile by the Pakistan Navy, strengthening the Pakistan Armed Forces' multi-dimensional coordinated strike posture in the conventional domain.
- Pakistan previously tested the Fatah-4 cruise missile at 750 kilometres in September 2025, while also successfully launching a 120km range missile under the Fateh Series and the 450km Abdali surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
