Utrecht delays FVD committee member’s swearing-in amid far-right ties debate
The swearing-in of a Forum voor Democratie (FVD) member of a committee in Utrecht’s provincial parliament was postponed on Wednesday. Provincial representative Olivia Butterman of the Partij voor de Dieren had asked for the appointment of committee members to be removed from the agenda. "As far as we are concerned, no committee members with close ties to far-right organizations or networks should be sworn in," Butterman said.
