Apple is reportedly working on a redesigned Vision Pro headset that could be lighter and more affordable. The company is exploring multiple designs, including one with an external computing unit, but the headset may not launch before late 2028 or early 2029.
Apple is reportedly working on a new, lighter Vision device after a previous project rumored to be called Vision Air was shelved last year, according to Bloomberg's Apple reporter Mark Gurman.
Apple would eventually work on a successor to the current Vision Pro, still very upstream and whose shape is not stopped. A launch is only envisaged at the end of 2028 or early 2029, and there is no guarantee that it will succeed.
