Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Receives Buy Rating from JPMorgan Chase & Co.
JPMorgan said Muse’s early rollout and 2,000-plus app links could drive new revenue, and it kept an overweight rating on Meta.
On Thursday, JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth raised Meta Platforms' price target to $920 from $820, implying roughly 24% upside from Wednesday's closing price.
Launched earlier this month, Muse has connected with more than 2,000 applications and secured major integrations with Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora, and Wayfair.
Meta shares surged roughly 30% in September, on pace for the stock's largest monthly advance since July 2013 when it rallied 48%. Anmuth believes Muse could become the most widely used consumer AI application since ChatGPT.
"We view Connectors, and open APIs, as the first of many steps to bring businesses onto Muse," Anmuth wrote, noting Meta could eventually monetize interactions through a commission model similar to advertising.
Despite intensifying competition from Google and OpenAI, Wall Street sentiment remains strong, with 57 of 63 analysts maintaining buy ratings on Meta, which is up nearly 13% year to date.
