Apollo Private Credit Fund Redemption Requests Ease in Third Quarter

Apollo said most requests were repeat redemptions as the fund recorded about $200 million in gross inflows and kept liquidity available.

  • On Tuesday, September 22, Apollo Debt Solutions told investors it would again cap withdrawals at 5% of outstanding shares after roughly 14.7% sought to pull their cash.
  • This marks the third straight quarter Apollo Global Management has limited redemptions, joining peers BlackRock and Cliffwater in restricting cash access amid broader investor anxiety within the US$1.8 trillion direct lending market.
  • Apollo, which holds about US$26 billion in assets, reported that redemption requests declined from 16.8 per cent in the prior quarter while recording about US$200 million of gross inflows during the third quarter.
  • Investors who sought to redeem this year will recover about 75 per cent of their requested capital, with expected net outflows totaling 3 per cent of net asset value after repurchases.
  • The fund said it will continue working through outstanding requests, noting it maintains substantial liquidity and can "add leverage modestly when warranted" to manage redemptions moving forward.
