AP Rajya Sabha MP’s son booked after Aston Martin fatally hits woman near Inorbit Mall in Hyderabad
Police said the 21-year-old driver was booked for rash and negligent driving after the 26-year-old mall employee died from head injuries.
- On August 16, Lingamaneni Sanjush, son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha member Lingamaneni Ramesh, struck and killed 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi with an Aston Martin outside Inorbit Mall in Madhapur.
- Returning from the ITC Kohenur area with colleague Pooja Ashok at around 3 p.m., Bharati attempted to cross the road when the collision occurred, according to the FIR.
- Following the incident, Bharati was transported to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills in the same car, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
- Madhapur police registered a case under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, though authorities did not arrest Sanjush as the offense is bailable and carries punishment under seven years.
- Evidence collection remains ongoing as police have seized the Aston Martin, conducted drug and drunk-driving tests on Sanjush, and sent blood samples to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.
