Anthropic has published a resounding report detailing how seven Chinese laboratories, including Alibaba, Moonshot AI and DeepSeek, have hijacked nearly 200 million exchanges from its Claude model. These "illegal distillation" operations were aimed at copying its reasoning capabilities. The report also highlights security vulnerabilities and user privacy violations.
