- Authorities reported that two houses collapsed overnight and another fell on Monday in Buxton, where sixteen collapses have concentrated on the coast, according to the National Park Service.
- Officials have warned two more homes are at risk, and Cape Hatteras National Seashore closed the beach in front of Buxton, with Bobby Outten saying `We had significant overwash on all the hotspots on Highway 12 and in Buxton`.
- Outten said, `Once again, if we get those winds coming out of the northeast, then we're going to have problems there again`, highlighting ongoing vulnerability despite legal limits on measures and the scheduled nourishment this year.
