Angel Aligner Upgrades Torque Ridges to "Pressure Points" in Europe
The upgraded feature replaces Torque Ridges and is designed to make torque correction more predictable and scalable for orthodontists.
On Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, Angelalign Technology Inc. announced the launch of Pressure Points in Europe, an upgraded feature that replaces the company's current Torque Ridges for orthodontic clear aligners.
Engineering research enabled Angel to create Pressure Points for more predictable force application, replacing hand-made dimples with a simplified shape that orthodontists can use more reliably.
The single pressure point configuration delivers a 25% increase in tooth surface contact, allowing better control of tooth movement when using scalloped trimlines for improved torque expression.
Xavier Cherbavaz, General Manager and Vice President, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, said the launch reflects a "commitment to research and to delivering innovative solutions" for patients and clinicians.
Angel plans to expand Pressure Points to rotation and intrusion configurations beyond torque corrections. The company serves orthodontists in over 60 countries, having surpassed two million cumulative cases.
