Andy Carroll Confirms Kevin Adams as His Abuser After Court Documents
Kevin Adams was jailed for 20 months after Carroll gave evidence in court and later named him in his autobiography.
- On Sunday, former England footballer Andy Carroll confirmed that Kevin Adams, a former BBC's Fame Academy dance coach, sexually assaulted him in 2021 after Adams was named in court documents.
- The assault occurred at Carroll's home, where he believes Adams "slipped something" while mixing drinks before forcing his way into bed as Carroll slept naked.
- Adams, now 59, was convicted at Chelmsford Crown Court in 2023 and jailed for 20 months, with Judge Mary Loram rejecting his "literally incredible tale" and finding no prospect of rehabilitation.
- Carroll told The Sun that giving evidence was "humiliating and horrendous," stating, "Hopefully now I can finally start to put this chapter behind me."
- Hoping his disclosure helps "one person," Carroll emphasized the long-term impact, while Victim Support offers resources to survivors of sexual abuse facing ongoing trauma.
