An extremely rare species of mushroom was found in the Wigierski National Park. It is a purple carnation, which in shape and color is associated with coral and, unfortunately, is an extinct species. This ephemeral organism is almost unheard of in Poland, and its presence has so far been confirmed only at three sites in the country. Not surprisingly, the discovery aroused great interest.
