A total of 9,716 Ukrainians have returned home from Russian captivity since February 24, 2022, according to Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, whose information was reported by the Ukrinform news agency on Thursday.
The soldier had been in captivity since 2017 and returned home during an exchange on August 19
On 19 August, a 29-year-old soldier, Vadim Sergiychuk, returned to Ukraine from the village of Kovalenki of the Ljubar community in Zhitomir province.
