Amelia Dimoldenberg Shares Update on Future Saying 'It’s Now Time to Move On'
The YouTube interview series drew more than 1 billion views and helped launch Dimoldenberg into wider film and television work.
On Thursday, Amelia Dimoldenberg announced she is ending her viral YouTube series Chicken Shop Date after 12 years, with the upcoming season marking the show's final run.
Dimoldenberg began the series as a column at age 17 before launching on YouTube in 2014, featuring celebrities on fake dates at London chicken shops framed as her 'very own romcom.'
Her YouTube channel has amassed more than 4.4 million subscribers, with the series generating around one billion views and featuring memorable guests including Billie Eilish, Andrew Garfield, and Cher.
Following the announcement, Dimoldenberg is developing a young adult drama series for the BBC and writing a romantic comedy for Amazon, with a final batch of episodes coming very soon.
Beyond the show, Dimoldenberg serves as the official red carpet correspondent for the Academy Awards and established the production banner Dimz Inc. to support her expanding entertainment portfolio.
