AMDB Security Pro Secures $3.1 Million Seed Round from Two American Private Investors to Support U.S. Expansion
The seed round will fund a U.S. subsidiary, local hiring and broader equipment coverage as theft losses top $300 million a year, industry groups said.
On Monday, August 10, 2026, French engineering firm AMDB Security Pro announced a $3.1 million seed funding round from two American private investors to finance its United States expansion.
Construction equipment theft costs the U.S. industry between $300 million and $1 billion annually, with nearly 1,000 machines stolen monthly and fewer than 25% of stolen assets recovered.
Co-Founders Pascal Oltra and Kevin Kaarouche engineered a patented mechanical device that blocks unauthorized ignition without electronics, functioning as a tamper-resistant deterrent for excavators and mini-excavators.
The capital will support hiring local teams and large-scale deployment by 2027. "Closing this round marks a defining step for AMDB Security Pro as we prepare our establishment in the United States," Oltra said.
Following its 2025 Gold Medal at the Concours Lépine, the company plans to extend its engineering approach to a broader range of construction equipment categories beyond excavators.
