Amber Met Office extreme heat warning issued as temperatures could reach 38C
Health officials warn the heat could strain hospitals and care services as amber alerts cover seven regions and temperatures climb into the mid-30s.
On Tuesday, August 11, the UK Health Security Agency issued amber and yellow heat health alerts for most of England, with temperatures forecast to peak at 36C by Thursday, August 14.
