Amazon Luna adds over 50 games including AAA titles and a new GameNight party games lineup to appeal to a broader audience beyond Prime perks, launching later this year.
- Later this year, Amazon is revamping Amazon Luna to combine social party games with blockbuster titles for Amazon Prime subscribers, debuting GameNight as part of the overhaul.
- Amazon launched Luna in 2022 and has largely treated it as a Prime perk, but Amazon says costly hardware and limited console owners motivate simpler, social games to broaden access.
- The update introduces GameNight with more than 25 multiplayer games, including Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, and uses a QR code smartphone join mechanic, included with Amazon Prime.
- Prime members will gain access to more than 50 games including Hogwarts Legacy and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, while Luna expands to 14 countries with support beyond Fire TV to smart devices.
- Experimentation with AI arrives as Amazon's studio, led by Christoph Hartmann, is working on AA and AAA titles alongside AI-powered Courtroom Chaos with Snoop Dogg.
