Amazon Fire TV stick users urged to change one setting that can help reduce lag

- Amazon urged Amazon Fire TV stick users to disable Featured Content autoplay to reduce lag and make the home screen load faster.
- Featured Content autoplay runs preview videos and audio snippets that load before play, competing for bandwidth and slowing the device, according to Amazon Fire TV stick users.
- Go to Home, Settings and then Preferences to access Featured Content, switch off `Allow Video Autoplay` and `Allow Audio Autoplay`, and perform a soft reboot if needed.
- Turning off autoplay should reduce buffering and slow-loading screens, allowing the home screen to run much quicker for Fire TV stick users.
- Separately, Amazon warned that piracy is illegal and said it will block identified apps via the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, while the Federation Against Copyright Theft cautioned about legal and malware risks from `jailbroken` Fire Sticks after Jonathan Edge, Liverpool, was jailed.
