BGT Fans Demand Live Audience Members to 'Shut up' in First Semi-Final
Nine acts perform live for a place in the grand final as the ITV competition opens its 2026 semi-finals.
Britain's Got Talent begins its live semi-final stage on Saturday, April 25, 2026, airing on ITV1 and ITVX with the first of five broadcasts leading to the May 30 final.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI have returned for the show's 19th series, joined by hosts Ant and Dec following nine weeks of auditions that unearthed a wide array of talent.
Winning acts receive a £250,000 cash prize and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance; nine golden buzzer acts, including front-runners AntiGravity, were selected this year.
Special guest Alexandra Burke will deliver a tribute performance as Chaka Khan from the production The Chaka Khan Musical during the semi-finals.
Amanda Holden credits the show's 19-year success to its 'intergenerational' appeal, while recently dismissing narratives of rivalry with Alesha Dixon to emphasize solidarity among judges.
