Suspect Arrested After Double-Stabbing at Vancouver SkyTrain Station: VPD
Police say two men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after an alleged bus altercation led to a stabbing at the station.
The Vancouver Police Department has arrested a 30-year-old man following a double stabbing at Joyce-Collingwood SkyTrain Station on Saturday, April 25, with a court appearance scheduled for Thursday, April 30.
Officers were called to the station at 6 p.m. after receiving 911 calls reporting a physical altercation on a bus, where the suspect allegedly stabbed two men before fleeing in an Evo rental vehicle.
Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while resident Edison told 1130 NewsRadio the "assault that had taken place" spilled from a bus onto the loop area.
Police apprehended the suspect shortly afterward near Joyce Street and East 41st Avenue, and the Vancouver Police Department is recommending charges to the Crown against the 30-year-old man.
