Alleged Myleene Klass stalker sent Nicola Sturgeon letter 'signed in blood'
Peter Windsor, diagnosed with schizophrenia, denies stalking Nicola Sturgeon after sending two threatening letters including one 'signed in blood', a trial at Birmingham Crown Court heard.
- A letter to former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon allegedly arrived, signed in blood with a Satan pledge, sent by Peter Windsor, alleged stalker, in October 2020.
- Prosecutors say Windsor sent items including an air pistol, handcuffs and a DIY will kit to Classic FM's central London studios, leaving Myleene Klass and Katie Breathwick in fear, during 2020-2024.
- Following his arrest at his home in January 2023, Police Scotland interviewed Windsor at Perry Barr custody suite before releasing him without prosecution, prosecutor Timothy Sapwell said.
- The defendant insisted the mail was part of a `pretend weird` acting performance and denied two counts of stalking, saying he wanted to draw attention to the plight of people on benefit.
- The trial at Birmingham Crown Court continues after agreed facts were read by the prosecutor, with Windsor, 61, of Birmingham, giving evidence in his defence on Thursday.
