Sixth suspect charged in alleged plot to turn White House UFC event into mass-casualty attack
Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican illegal alien who overstayed a B-2 visa, was arrested in Omaha for allegedly leading a plot to attack the White House during a UFC Freedom 250 event.
Five suspects, including Alvarez, were federally charged with conspiracy to commit murder and violence on White House grounds, planning an attack involving explosive drones, a sniper team, and a second wave to storm the White House gate.
The conspirators communicated via encrypted chats from March to June, coordinating logistics, funding, acquiring firearms, and tactical gear for the planned attack.
The investigation was aided by a tip from a suspect's mother and recovered phone data revealing a wider network of about 19 participants, amid tensions among federal agencies over public disclosure timing.
