Following the 5.4 magnitude earthquake in Karaköprü, Şanlıurfa, claims emerged that the ground had collapsed in Diyarbakır. The Presidency's Communications Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) clarified the truth regarding the images shared on social media.
The Presidency of Communications' Center for Combating Disinformation issued a statement regarding claims of ground subsidence in Diyarbakır during and after the 5.4 magnitude earthquake centered in Şanlıurfa. The statement said, "It has been determined that the shared image belongs to a renovation/infrastructure project being carried out in the area. The situation shown in the image has no connection whatsoever with the earthquake."
