Alibaba to Add Data Centers in Europe, Middle East in AI Push
Alibaba said the expansion will boost global computing capacity as it targets more than 20 gigawatts of data center power by 2032.
- On Wednesday, Alibaba Cloud announced plans to establish its first cloud regions in Turkey, Finland, and the Netherlands over the next 12 months, expanding into Europe and the Middle East.

- At the Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, Alibaba executive Feifei said, "We are committed to working closely with our global ecosystem to make AI more scalable, practical and accessible for businesses."
- Beyond the new regions, the company will increase data center capacity in Malaysia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, France, and Hong Kong to enhance localized cloud and artificial intelligence services.
