Alfie MacLeod, a longtime provincial Progressive Conservative politician, as well as auctioneer and community supporter for various causes in and around Cape Breton, has died after a lengthy battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer on Sunday at a hospice at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
