The President of the Federal Senate, David Alcolumbre (Brazil-AP Union), scheduled for next Tuesday (6) the first session of discussion of the Proposal for Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that intends to end the 6x1 scale in plenary. The proposal was approved by the Senate's Committee on Constitution and Justice (CCJ) on September 2.
Alcolumbre held three discussion sessions next week, two days after the first round. The text came out of the House with 472 votes to 22 and stopped in the Senate in the face of opposition from business entities. Approval requires 49 of the 81 senators in two rounds.
