- On Jan. 6, the U.S. Secret Service Albuquerque Resident Office and FBI Albuquerque Field Office contacted Leveque at his home and found he was in the process of purchasing a firearm from the firearm dealer.
- He will serve three years of supervised release after prison, and prosecutors warned Leveque faces a permanent felony record and loss of firearm rights, having faced up to five years.
- Law enforcement maintained the posts met the legal standard for true threats, not covered by the First Amendment, while the U.S. Secret Service and FBI Albuquerque Division pledged to prosecute threats against protectees and elected public officials.
