Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik has resigned from the CHP (Republican People's Party). Özçelik stated that he decided to resign after being referred to the High Disciplinary Board on September 30th with a request for his permanent expulsion, adding that he believed the expulsion process would not benefit the CHP, Alanya, or himself.
