Alabama Power appeals court order blocking access to Shelby County man’s property

Alabama Power Company has taken its dispute with a Calera landowner to the state’s highest court after a judge temporarily blocked the utility from accessing property for a major transmission line project.The utility filed an appeal Thursday with the Alabama Supreme Court challenging a preliminary injunction issued Sept. 22 by Shelby County Circuit Judge Jonathan A. Spann, according to documents obtained by WVTM 13.
