Boeing Jet Deliveries Drop 17% in July

Boeing’s July deliveries fell from June as it logged 30 net new orders and remained behind Airbus, company figures showed.

  • Boeing delivered 53 jets in July, five more than a year earlier but a sharp drop from the 64 jets handed over in June, the company reported Tuesday.
  • European rival Airbus delivered 67 planes in July, outpacing Boeing. Through the month, Boeing has delivered 367 jets this year, including 279 MAX and 50 787 aircraft.
  • July deliveries comprised 39 of Boeing's best-selling MAX jet and 10 787s, along with one 777 freighter and three 767 aircraft.
  • Boeing booked 38 new orders in July with eight cancellations, resulting in 30 net new orders that included sales announced during the Farnborough Airshow.
