- Persistent hotspots and haze in parts of Indonesia drove the deterioration, as dry conditions across the region fueled smoke plumes drifting toward Singapore.
- 1-Hour PM2.5 hit a recent high of 132 in central Singapore at 2pm, before easing to 128 at 4pm, while other regions recorded elevated readings of 85, 81 and 71.
- The National Environment Agency advises the public to cut down on strenuous outdoor activities when PSI reaches the unhealthy range of 101 to 200.
- Air quality for the next 24 hours is forecast to remain in the moderate to lower end of the unhealthy range, as prevailing winds pose continued haze risk.
