- From a universe of over 19,000 listed companies, Forbes Asia selected these 200 firms using composite scores measuring debt, earnings-per-share growth, and equity returns. Qualifying companies must report annual sales between $10 million and $1 billion.
- The lineup is dominated by businesses aligned with the global AI boom and fast-evolving technology sector. Software companies and suppliers of electronic components for semiconductors accounted for 25% of qualifiers navigating geopolitical tensions and volatile energy markets.
- Over half of the 19 Malaysian companies benefit from the country's AI infrastructure boom. Notable newcomers include China-based Guangdong Dtech Technology and Inox India, which manufactures cryogenic storage equipment for industrial gases.
- The "Best Under A Billion" list, which started in 2002, has featured some of Asia's biggest success stories, including Alibaba and Tencent. In total, 60 companies are returnees from 2025.
