Thousands of people are missing in Nepal and Tibet, three days after devastating floods caused by the collapse of a glacier in the Himalayan region, with rescuers racing against time.

"Even though water levels in this river and in Trishuli are now below critical marks after the Bhota-Koshi floods, we have called on the inhabitants of the lowlands to exercise greater caution. If the flood threat increases, we will issue warnings," the flood forecasting office noted.
