In view of the conflict with Thailand, the Government Cabinet in Cambodia has approved a compulsory military service, which provides for a two-year service.
Cambodia introduced compulsory military service for men between 18 and 25 years of age for two years, and two armed clashes with Thailand in 2025, noted AP. Women could serve on a voluntary basis.
