AEX Approaches Record Close Thanks to Rise in Chip Stocks, Arcadis Down

The AEX, the main indicator for the Amsterdam stock exchange, reached a record high of 1,125 points on Tuesday afternoon but failed to close at its highest closing level ever. Chip stocks were particularly in demand, just as on Wall Street.
