It was revealed on the 12th that several employees of Aeon and Aeon Mall allowed employees to temporarily re-enter the Aeon Mall Kumamoto after the explosion, even though the facility's safety checks had not yet been completed at the time.
Regarding the incident in which seven tenant employees died after re-entering the Aeon Mall Kumamoto (Kashima-machi, Kumamoto Prefecture) following an explosion, Aeon announced on the 12th that it would "address compensation (to the bereaved families) promptly, without waiting for the cause of the accident or legal responsibility to be clarified."
